Lockdown Listening Service

This is a listening service for those who are experiencing difficulties due to lockdown. This is a temporary service available from 1 June 2020 until 31 August. (This may be extended should lockdown be extended further.)

About the service

Mindspace is providing a listening service for those who are experiencing challenges due to lockdown. You can speak with a member of our team for up to 45 minutes about whatever is worrying you or causing you concern.

You will be listened to without judgement and supported in exploring ways of coping and your thoughts on what may be helpful for you.

You can access the listening service up to 6 times. The service is available Monday to Friday between 10.00am and 4.00pm. Please phone 07928 859628

If the line is busy please leave your name and number and someone will return your call.

Is this for you?

If you are aged 16 or over, are experiencing difficulties brought about by lockdown and feel you would benefit from speaking with someone then this could be helpful for you.

What it is not

It is not a crisis service. It is not a counselling service.

If you use the listening service and decide you would like to access our counselling service, peer support, or attend one of our recovery college courses we will help you to access those services.

If you are in crisis and unable to keep yourself safe please contact: -

Your GP                                  or                        NHS 24  (phone 111)

Other listening services available outwith office hours:

Breathing Space - 0800 83 85 87 (Monday to Friday, 6pm to 2am and 24 hours at weekends.)
