This poem was written by Mindspace student Iain MacPhail about the Wellness Recovery Action Planning (WRAP) course he completed at the Recovery College. He will be participating on our PDA Mental Health Peer Support course in the new year.
Two days in a room,
New skills we are learning to groom.
Open discussions, open debate,
Old ways, new ways, keep things up to date.
Humour is good, learning is fun.
We have the same goals,
To agree all results as one.
Plenty of ideas. Plenty of scope,
For ways to help each other
We leave not confused, but full of hope.
We have time to laugh and have a joke
But respect and regard for each one
Is always first and foremost.
So no ridicule is ever allowed to poke.
We have mixed and watched the group gel
To a group of people who bond well.
Going happy, no remorse.
Looking forward to January’s course.
