What is involved?

Discover with us the benefits of yoga for your mental health!

Yoga is a physical, mental, and spiritual practice of movements and postures that is about bringing the mind and body together. It is an ancient but popular modern-day exercise that has shown to have a positive impact on our wellbeing, helping us be present and mindful, whilst reducing stress and anxiety. The aim of practicing yoga is most importantly about how you feel, it is not about how you look or perfecting the postures. For this group no previous yoga experience is required, this is a gentle practice for absolute beginners.

This is a 4-week group will be held at the Doo’cot cricket pavilion, this is a beautiful indoor space overlooking the cricket grounds, and will be led by qualified practitioner Dorothy. The yoga will be approximately 45 minutes followed by some refreshments and time to chat afterwards. Just bring yourself, comfortable clothing, and some water to drink. A yoga mat will be provided.

The Doo’cot pavilion is situated on Pitcullen Crescent. There is car parking on the grounds and it is easily accessed via public transport. It is on the number 7 bus route which stops conveniently just outside the entrance, opposite Comelybank. (Please note – car parking facilities cannot be reserved and spaces may be in use by others. Also, please be aware to access the venue there is a small flight of stairs.)
