SILENT MEDITATION

Experience the benefits of silent meditation for our minds, our thinking, our mood and our sleep. 

What is involved?

Meditation is the practice of going inwards and being aware of the present moment. Regular meditation practice can help reduce stress, anxiety, improve sleep and increase self-awareness. Meditating regularly for just 2 weeks can have a significant positive impact on the brain. The mind is an incredibly powerful tool and meditation is a practice to help us manage our minds and our thinking.

This group will help you to slow down and experience your thoughts in a different way. We will practice using different meditation techniques to bring our attention to the present moment. We will do a 10-to-20-minute silent meditation, followed by a short video on meditation or mindfulness (for roughly 10 minutes). Then we will have a cup of tea and a group discussion for the remaining 30 minutes.

This group is open to anyone – including complete beginners to meditation. It will be particularly beneficial to anyone who has done any guided meditation before, or anyone interested in mindfulness. 

Join our group for a support, non-judgmental environment in which to talk about our challenges and develop a habit of meditating.

Meditation can help us manage stress, anxiety, low mood and help improve sleep. This group is perfect if you are you having trouble with the constant chatter of the mind.
