UNDERSTANDING DEPRESSION

Understanding Depression is an opportunity to discuss what depression means to you and learn ways to manage your mood.

What is involved?

The short course will discuss what depression is, how it affects us, various methods of feeling better. It will include information on sleep related issues which are common experience of feeling depressed or low in your mood.

The course will use informative videos, disscussion and give ideas on ways of managing your mood. At the end of the course you will be able to understand the varying experiences of depression, have an understanding of managing the issues posed in daily life by depression and have the ability to construct your own plan of managing feeling depressed.

Please note that our courses are subject to a minimum number of sign-ups, if we do not receive the minimum number of sign-ups unfortunately the group will be cancelled.
You will be emailed a Wellbeing Form which must be completed before you start the course.
Please let us know at the earliest available opportunity if you no longer wish to attend the group and we can give your space to someone on our waiting list.

Who is it for?

Anyone who would like to know more about this mental health condition, including adults with mental health dificulties, friends and carers.
