THINKING ABOUT THINKING
Do you find yourself stuck in your head, constantly replaying situations or worrying about “what ifs”?
Thinking About Thinking is a 4-week course which explores the nature of thought, the difference between thoughts and thinking, and how overthinking can negatively impact your mental health, relationships, and daily life.
Overthinking — characterised by excessive rumination and analysis — often leads to:
- Heightened stress and anxiety
- Decision paralysis
- Negative thought patterns
- Poor problem-solving
- Strained relationships
- Reduced focus and productivity
This course offers a space to reflect on your thinking habits and introduces practical tools to help you step out of unhelpful thought loops. Using mindfulness techniques, cognitive strategies, and open discussion, you’ll learn how to:
- Recognise unproductive thinking patterns
- Respond more skilfully to negative thoughts
- Develop healthier coping mechanisms
- Improve emotional regulation and focus
As Julia Cameron says, “We are the thinker of the thoughts, not the thoughts.” This course helps you reconnect with that truth — and take back control from your inner overthinker.
Please note that our courses are subject to a minimum number of sign-ups, if we do not receive the minimum number of sign-ups unfortunately the group will be cancelled.
You will be emailed a Wellbeing Form which must be completed before you start the course.
Please let us know at the earliest available opportunity if you no longer wish to attend the group and we can give your space to someone on our waiting list.
