About Mindspace
Mindspace is an innovative charity that has been supporting people experiencing mental ill health for over 40 years. Our aim is to promote positive mental health and wellbeing for both adults and young people within Perth and Kinross.
A unique understanding
Provision of support is through three main areas. Our Counselling Service provides one to one therapy from our highly trained counsellors to adults and young people over 8 years of age.
Mindspace Recovery College is our award winning service! Established in 2014, it was the first independent mental health recovery college in Scotland. It takes a unique, educational approach to understanding and managing mental ill health through the provision of group courses. With the input from people with lived experience, our students gain the skills and tools to cope in their daily lives. Our Young People’s Recovery College was added in 2016, and supports 8 to 18 year olds.
Launched in 2017, our Peer Support Service is our latest addition, where our Peer Support Workers use their lived experience of mental ill health to support others on their recovery journey.

From our beginnings as a small support group, we’ve now got over 40 years of experience of supporting you in the best way we can.
We’re proudly community-based! Our premises is in the heart of Perth at The Gateway on North Methven Street.
You can be seen at our premises in Perth, or in rural areas – we have services available in Crieff, Blairgowrie, Auchterarder, and Kinross.
Our ambassador Eve Muirhead
We are extremely proud to have Olympic gold-medal winning curler Eve Muirhead OBE as our Ambassador!
Eve believes that mental health is just as important as physical health and says “I am absolutely delighted to be an Ambassador for Mindspace. The chance to help out and promote a charity is something I’ve always wanted to do. Their work is superb and always getting better and I love being involved in the constant development”.
