CHALLENGING UNHELPFUL THINKING
Have you ever noticed how quickly your mind can jump to conclusions—or turn a small moment into something much bigger?
This group explores cognitive distortions—the common thinking patterns that can shape how we see ourselves, others, and the world. These thoughts often feel true in the moment, but they can be misleading, harsh, or incomplete.
Together, we’ll look at how these patterns show up in everyday life and learn simple ways to step back and respond differently.
What to expect from the group
- A relaxed, supportive space (no pressure to share more than you want to)
- Practical exercises to help you notice and understand your thinking patterns
- Real-life examples and discussions that feel relatable—not clinical
- Tools you can take away and use in everyday situations
You don’t need any prior knowledge—just a willingness to be curious about how your mind works.
Please note: There is no pressure to speak during the session — listening is also participating. This is not group therapy, but many people find it therapeutic. There is no expectation to share your personal story or talk about what you’re currently struggling with.
Please note that our courses are subject to a minimum number of sign-ups, if we do not receive the minimum number of sign-ups unfortunately the group will be cancelled.
You will be emailed a Wellbeing Form which must be completed before you start the course.
Please let us know at the earliest available opportunity if you no longer wish to attend the group and we can give your space to someone on our waiting list.
