MY STORY, MY STAGE

This is a 9-week course, in partnership with Horsecross Perth Theatre It starts on Wednesday 17th August, 10.30am – 12.30pm, at The Space, Perth Theatre.

Perth Theatre and Mindspace have brought back our highly successful creative writing project for anyone with lived experience of mental health issues.

Led by Perth Theatre’s Associate Artist, the writer Jane Archer, participants will receive an introduction to writing and explore autobiographical work. There will also be an exciting opportunity to contribute towards a staged performance at Perth Theatre.

Words from past participants:

I feel supported, unjudged and my story is accepted and validated by others.”

I benefited from the power of other people’s voices. It was wonderful and a privilege to be part of everyone else’s story.”

This gave me something social, time just for me to express myself, that gives me a break away from full-time caring.”
